I have known Valerie for many years, in various capacities, and am honoured to participate in getting the word out about how serious an issue bullying in the workplace is. I believe in helping the workforce become knowledgeable and empowered so we can all work in bully free environments one day. As the middle man, we hear the truth from candidates as to why they are leaving their jobs, and we know it is usually because of the boss. Through this bully free workplace course, I learned that 80% of workplace bullies are the bosses.
The awareness and education needed around this important topic has become a cause for me. Whatever support I can offer Valerie is my commitment to enabling Alberta to become a bully free province of workers. About Staffing is co-sponsoring a seminar, put on by Valerie Cade on November 5th. I will be there, and I look forward to Valerie’s course. Having just gone through a series of six classes with her and reading her book, I am looking forward to her professional, fun, insightful day.
